Meanings
From genius to madness is a short step.
Some get a standing ovation. Some get whistled off.
How to take what —
Is decided by your meaning.
Supercomputers have frozen,
Calculating the thoughts of clients.
Capitalists are counting profit.
What each meaning costs.
Newspapers are printed in a hurry.
The media are hypocrites. Way too much.
The swapping of history rings false.
They teach Thermopylae from the movies.
Corrupt mugs reek of gasoline.
Manipulation is now part of the worldview.
A plague in the middle of the feast.
And you — just smile. Stay positive.
Watch as many movies as you can,
You'll learn templates of thinking, like everyone else.
Obediently they sit out the quarantines,
Giving in to global hysteria,
Living online and going live,
Repeating Groundhog Day. Where vampires
Chant mantras in the antiworld,
Sitting in an abandoned outhouse.
Scoop out some meanings.
Pour some thoughts.
Add a few soloists
And a sour lemon —
It'll kill the blandness of trendy artists.
Mix. Shake.
And release at once
Onto the stage. Let them carry meanings.
In the age of capitalism
People themselves are goods and numbers.
Does the Universe have thoughts?
Do our meanings matter to it?
Or have we gone completely sour here
On a planet where the enemy is the one close by.
Don't force your thoughts on me.
I want to see meanings.
My own meanings.
